Baltic Civil Ceremony by the Quayside in Newcastle
I met the grooms at The Hilton Hotel which has fantastic views of the Quayside, mainly the Tynebridge. Then we moved onto The Baltic Newcastle were they tied the knot. There were lots of friends and family members around to keep the Grooms company. Bottles of champagne were opened and people turned to Google to help them fasten their ties.
It was a very calm atmosphere, with lots of laughter at this Baltic Wedding
I had fun photographing the details, such as belts and shoes. Posh watches and even some Dolci & Gabbana aftershave, which smelt lovely. The buttonholes worked great. Simplistic little lilies which complimented the navy blue suits.
Furthermore, there was time for a quick photo opportunity in the foyer at The Hilton Hotel. I loved the large water fountain and thought it would work great to capture the groomsmen reflections and the bridge in the background.
The grooms walked over to the Baltic in separate groups. I ran ahead of them taking a few pictures. We arrived at The Baltic for their Civil Ceremony in no time. The lights had been turned down low with a gorgeous light projection. It created mood and atmosphere. It was a beautiful ceremony.
Most importantly everyone was sipping champagne at this Baltic Wedding. Soon it was time for some formal pictures. I chose the copper backdrop at the entrance to The Baltic as my drop back. I just love the texture. Everyone was in good spirits and laughing and joking, so I thought we should do some silly pictures.
The boys enjoyed jumping in front of the Baltic.
Subsequently, their competitiveness came out as I asked them to race towards me. It was great how everyone was up for a laugh and didn’t take themselves too seriously. My sort of Baltic wedding!
Meanwhile, I took the grooms to the viewing platform. They were able to have a bit of privacy and some time alone to admire the views. I managed to capture a few intimate moments as I liked their reflections in the glass. Then it was time to go back to the party and the speeches began.
The food at The Baltic was exceptional
However, the staff were very helpful and had everything running like clockwork. This Baltic Wedding is such a fantastic venue, such character and in a brilliant location with stunning views. The party went long into the night. Guests were able to sit out on the balcony and admire the views, or stay inside and dance the night away. The Baltic is available for wedding hire. Why not do your wedding vows at The Baltic Newcastle.
It was a perfect day and I was thrilled to be part of it.
