Barn On The Bay Northumberland
I was back at Barn on The Bay this summer for Alex and Charlie’s wedding. There was still some covid restrictions in place, but it didn’t affect the wedding.
The staff at Barn on The Bay made everyone feel safe and you were allowed to dance outside, so that is exactly what everyone did! Anyway rather than me tell you all about their fantastic wedding, Alex and Charlie answered a few questions here:
Please tell me about your venue and why you chose it?
Barn on the Bay was perfect for us. It was the first and only venue we looked at and we knew it was right from the start
Were you happy with your venue choice? Did it live up to your expectations? How?
Absolutely. We knew there would be some restrictions because of COVID but Barn on the Bay were super organised and flexible and did everything they could to make it work for us.
Tell me about the food at your wedding? was it yummy? Why?
Food was provided by Wildefeast who specialise in luxury BBQs – we couldnt have been happier with our black pudding scotch eggs and kangaroo steak!
Tell me about the service? Did you write your own vows, how did you feel?
Short and sweet! Sun came out! Everybody had a great time!
What was the best part of the day?
We couldn’t possibly say – it was all Magical
If you wore a dress, why did you pick it and how did you feel wearing it?
She looked pretty hot!
What was the funniest thing that happened?
The maid of honour completely losing control of her emotions during her speech
Did anything surprise you?
We were a bit nervous with all the potential COVID restrictions but in the end it was super relaxed and everyone had a great time. We even got a few outdoor Ceilidh dances in.
Tell me about your first dance.
Danced to ‘This will be’. A bit weird because nobody else was allowed to join in so we had to go the whole song! but we had the moves
If you were plan your wedding all other again what would you change?
Not a thing
