Doxford Barns Wedding

I was back again for a beautiful  Doxford Barns Wedding. I met Bekki in a beautiful cottage with Ivy running up the outside walls it was very pretty. It was a warm summers day and Bekki and her bridesmaids were having a giggle getting their hair and makeup done. Doxford Barns is the perfect venue is you fancy a Romantic Rustic Wedding. Their is plenty of accommodation for your guests in the nearby cottages and the barn that you tie the knot in is stunning.

It has old brick work and twinkly lights which create a romantic atmosphere. There is also a very large space which is used for your wedding breakfast. You can have plenty of guests, it is lovely large bright and airy space. Doxford Barns has traditional wooden beams which are decorated with twinkly lights and foliage. The views are beautiful as it looks out onto the country side. I have even been lucky enough to spot a few horses and of course the odd chicken.

Kerri wore a white lace dress, it had a lace bodice and long sleeves and then a lovely floaty skirt which is always fun for spinning around in. The dress looked stunning with a bouquet, with a white, yellow and blue colour scheme it had a wild flower theme to it. Perfect for a rustic wedding.

Doxford Barns Wedding, has a conveniently located meadow, which was full of beautiful wild flowers.

The meadow full of wild flowers was perfect for the bridesmaids to run around and even do a spot of skipping, why not. The ladies were so easy to photograph, they were laughing and joking the whole time. I am really pleased with the photographs with the beautiful english countryside in the background.

I really enjoyed photographing Kerri and Mike, we had fun capturing some images near the hay bails and also being a bit silly. before I knew it, Kerri was piggybacking Mike which led to some fantastic facial expressions. We ended the shoot in the barn, where I set up a light to make sure we had some nice soft light hitting their faces which is very flattering.

We went for a more romantic approach for these pictures which seemed to match the atmosphere. It’s nice to have a range of images, from the silly ones, to the bright and airy photographs. Then finally a few more romantic pictures, which are a bit more dark and moody. Doxford Barns Wedding.

In the barn Kerri had stuck to the rustic theme and for her centre pieces she had laid out jars on top of wooden boards. She decorated these with hessian and lace. The jars were filled with wild flowers which stuck to a colour pallet of yellow white and green. They looked fantastic. I love photographing these details as a Newcastle Wedding Photographer.

Soon the party was in full swing and everyone was on the dance floor.

Matt Stanfords wedding band did a fantastic job of keeping everyone entertained at this Doxford Barns Wedding

We ended the night with some sparklers and somehow I managed to round up lots of drunk people and get them to light their sparklers at the same time. Congratulations to Bekki and Mike! Book your North East Wedding Photographer.
