Amy and Steve had a Doxford Barns Wedding over the Christmas period, it was their dream wedding.
It was a fantastic choice. Doxford Barns is situated in the Northumberland Countryside it is a beautiful rustic location, with hay bails and a barn full of character.
Amy opted for a very elegant and simplistic wedding gown, that had gorgeous buttons all down the back, It was beautiful! I couldn’t picture Amy in any other other dress, it suited her perfectly. The classic bottle of Chanel perfume, the pearl accessories. Plus the wedding dress all oused elegance. Amy’s flowers by Wild With Love also had a sophisticated elegance to them, with romantic cream and red roses, they matched the burnt red bridesmaids dresses perfectly for this Doxford Barns Wedding.
Meanwhile, Steve decided to take an early morning dip with his friends in the North Sea, as you do. Well, it certainly woke him up!
The ceremony at Doxford Barns was very moving, which took place in the barn, candles filled the fireplace adding a beautiful warm ambient glow. They added to the cosy atmosphere for this Doxford Barns Wedding.
We were lucky enough to get lovely winter sunshine and all the guests went outside for their group photograph, they had fun pulling silly faces and even lifting up Steve. We managed to capture some great facial expressions. The food at Doxford Barns was fantastic, very hearty, quite traditional British food. Meat and two veg kind of food. However, as a vegetarian, I was catered for and was very happy. I also found the staff to be very helpful. Everything ran like clockwork at this Doxford Barn Wedding.
Amy and Steves’s cake again oused elegance with white lace icing and a touch of greenery, it was beautiful. Plus the cake tasted fantastic. There were two cute little figures at the base made from icing which had a striking resemblance to Amy and Steve, a lovely little touch.
The dance floor was jam-packed and the atmosphere at this wedding was electric as everyone seemed to know each other!
I love visiting Doxford Barns and I left shortly after the sparkler exit. I used a blue light to highlight the smoke which I think worked a treat for this couple Doxford Barns Wedding venue
This was such a fun wedding, I know these two will be very happy together, and I feel very honoured that they picked me to be part of their special day at this Doxford Barns Wedding venue
