Georginna & Jordan wedding at Gateshead Marriott
Georginna & Jordan picked a cute little Church in Rowlands Gill called Straithmore Road Methodist Church to tie the knot. We then headed to the Gateshead Marriott Hotel for the reception. Georginna started the day surrounded by her family. I met a very friendly springer spaniel who wanted to be in all of my pictures. Georginna’s father who was on dog-sitting duties. Georginna was very calm,
I think it helped that a very cute flower girl make her smile all morning.
Georginna’s dress is beautiful with a large floral lace design and buttons up the back. Georginna’s dress had pretty lace sleeves and a train at the back. The dress suited her perfectly. Georginna paired the dress with a splash of colour opting for T bar shoes in an earthy green colour. Georginna’s bouquet is very creative with autumn colours of orange and reds. It had sunflowers and red berries wrapped in a hessian fabric. It looked fantastic with the green shoes.
I straight away spotted that in the garden they had some beautiful geometric tiles. I thought I could use to my advantage, after moving a few things around I placed the dress and flowers against this pretty background. The colours all seemed to work together so I’m happy with this picture.
It’s time to go and I couldn’t resist getting a picture with Georginna as she said goodbye to the cute dog.
We arrived at the quaint little church, Strathmore Road Methodist Church, where they had a spectacular organ. The bridesmaids wore green dresses with snippets of lace. They matched Georginna’s shoes. Jordan looked very smart in his suit with a green cravat and an autumn colour buttonhole. The colours looked fantastic. His face lit up as he saw his gorgeous bride walk down the aisle.
After the ceremony, we took some photographs in the church grounds. The suns shining and the flower girls were running around having fun making everyone laugh. Georginna and Jordan had a quiet moment sat on a cute little bench in the church grounds. I managed to capture them laughing and joking together, clearly very much in love.
We then made our way to the Marriott Hotel, Georginna got the red carpet treatment and must have felt like a celebrity as she elegantly stepped out of the car.
Marriott Hotels are brilliant! The room’s large and bright with cool lighting on the ceiling that changed colour once the party got going. The tables were decorated with large candles which gave the room a lovely warm glow. In the corner was every kid’s dream, a huge sweetie cart. Glass jars filled with yummy sweets were beautifully laid out for the kids to get stuck in. A Unicorn balloon took pride of place next to the cart making it feel even more magical.
The staff at the Gateshead Marriott were fantastic making sure that everything ran like clockwork. Most importantly making sure everyone had a drink!
Georgina opted for a white backdrop with twinkly light for the dancefloor which always looks lovely for the pictures as you get beautiful bokeh. Before too long, everyone’s on the dancefloor busting some moves and its time for me to go home. A gorgeous wedding at Gateshead Marriott, ideal for guests as many didn’t have to stay overnight as they could get home easily. Thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding, it was a perfect day. Photographer Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Marriott is a fantastic wedding venue.
