I do love dogs. When Pearly and Rich said that they wanted their 2 very cute dogs to be part of the ceremony at this matfen Hall Wedding. I knew I had to photograph this wedding! Matfen Hall is one of my favourite venues. You really are spoiled for choice for where to take the pictures. It is truly beautiful. I love the stained-glass window in the Grand Hall. The venue has so much character and huge grounds for you to take a stroll around.

Pearly decided to get her hair done at the salon on the morning of her wedding. She arrived looking very cool and casual in her jeans. Within a matter of hours she had changed into her wedding dress and was ready to walk down the aisle. A family member with a keen interest in makeup did Pearly makeup. She opted for a natural style and she looked stunning. Her bridesmaids and flower girls kept her calm and fully topped up with prosecco. I was very entertained by her cute little dogs. It is fantastic that Matfen Hall allows dogs, another reason to book your wedding at Matfen Hall!

The wedding ceremony was held in the Great Hall, it is an incredible space!

My lovely assistant Greta was able to capture the moments they walked down the stair case. I was able to capture the moment that they walked down the aisle. It is very handy having another photographer to capture the different angles.

Pearly’s bridesmaids wore long burgundy red dresses that were very floaty. Her cute little flower girls wore red satin dresses which worked well with the flowers.

After the ceremony we were able to take some family portraits in the Grand Hall. It has started to rain at this point. That’s not a problem. I set up some lights in the Greta Hall. This means that the family portraits were well lit and set against the stained-glass window. Once the rain had died down, we were able to do the full group photograph outside.

Sometimes you just have to improvise because of the unpredictable weather! Matfen Hall Wedding

I also managed to capture a picture of just Pearly and Rich in front of the window. We opted for a the classic dip shot.  Where the grooms gently leans his bride back in order to kiss her. It works a treat when you want something dramatic. It matches the mood and atmosphere of the Great Hall.

Pearly scattered paper symbols on the wedding tables. She explained that is the Chinese Double Happiness symbol which is typically seen in Chinese weddings. I though this was a very lovely touch. She also added small jars and placed red flowers inside of them at Maften Hall.

After the wedding Breakfast Pearly was able to chill out in the beautiful bridal suite. This gave me a chance to take a couple of portraits of her by the huge window. You can’t get married at Maften Hall and not have your portrait taken there!

Any Matfen Couples thinking of getting married at this venue? I would strongly recommend it! They even have a spa. What is not to love! Contact me today if you would like me to photograph your wedding at Maften Hall.
