Laura and Chris couldn’t have picked a nicer day for their Newcastle wedding at Nancys Bordello, after they made their wedding vows at Saint Gabriel’s church, getting ready at The Grey Street Hotel.
The sun was shining and there were beaming smiles all round. I met Laura at the Grey Street Hotel, in the centre of Newcastle. The tiling on the staircase in this classy Georgian hotel with its Art deco feel. I had fun photographing Laura’s dress and shoes in the staircase.
Afterwards the blessing took place at Saint Gabriel’s as they had said their wedding vows a few days earlier in London.
So Chris and Laura entered the church together, walking down the aisle with their three children to say their wedding vows. A gorgeous family moment.
Meanwhile, had time to take some photographs outside the church, and I had fun taking some pictures of their beauful children, they ran around the church and laughed and giggled as the sun shone.
I was a huge fan of Laura’s sparkly shoes and paper flowers bouquet, a great idea which will allow her to keep them forever. She also had made paper birds that were ont he tables for guests as well as hung around the venue. They looked delightful.
Furthermore we made the most of the gorgeous day, heading down to the Quayside to catch the last of the sun as it faded into the Tyne valley. The geordies were very friendly wishing Laura and Chris their best wishes.
They must have felt like celebrities as everyone greeted them as they walked past, near Nancys Bordello.
Above all, the evening was spent at Nancy’s Bordello, a fantastic boutique bar on the edge of Newcastle’s city centre. It is a very quirky bar, beautifully decorated with bright colours and plants. In addition Laura’s cake also seemed to fit into the room perfectly. It was decorated with hundred and thousands, and when she cut into it it was amazing! The cake had rainbow layers and tasted delishious.
Soon it was time for the speeches and every one was laughing and joking, the best man did a brilliant job at embarressing Chris!
It was here I encountered my first wedding caricaturist; he went down an absolute storm at Nancys Bordello.
Therefore, I would certainly recommend getting some entertainment for your guests, such as a caricaturist. I also provide a Photobooth which defintely helps keep your guests amused.
To conclude, this was a lovely relaxed day, thank you so much Laura and Chris, for making me part of it. Lots of Love, Lindsey X
