Here is a little interview Claire did about her wedding:
Please tell me about your venue and why you chose it?
South Causey Inn for its rustic yet quirky feel. We instantly fell in love with the Durham Suite, the grounds and it’s surrounding. We also loved the atmosphere and how welcoming the staff were.
Were you happy with your venue choice? Did it live up to your expectations? How?
100% We booked to stay the night before in the hot tub rooms and every part of our our stay and the wedding bought me to tears. It was exceptional.
Tell me about the food at your wedding? was it yummy? Why?
We had a traditional wedding breakfast which all guests thoroughly enjoyed. This was followed by a “WorldTour” buffet for our evening reception. We found the menu choices on offer to be quite extensive, there was something for everyone.
Tell me about the service? Did you write your own vows, how did you feel?
We picked traditional vows however Chris’s son read a poem during our ceremony which meant so much to us, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
What was the best part of the day?
The Ceremony and the Cake
If you wore a dress, why did you pick it and how did you feel wearing it?
I chose my dress for the statement lace train it was simply stunning.
What was the funniest thing that happened?
Chris’s trouser ripping on the inside of the vintage car we hired 🤣
Tell me about your first dance.
We chose a song written and sung by Liam Gallagher to remind us of when we went to his gig in Rome for our first Valentine’s Day as an engaged couple.
If you were plan your wedding all other again what would you change?
We would make it more intimate, possibly in something like the Farm House which is now at South Causey…. Already thinking about what to do for our renewal 😉☺️
