I have to say, I love Wylam Brewery!
I am more of a wine drinker, but I can be persuaded to have a drop of ale. It is such an amazing building! I often visit Wylam and have been to a few gigs at the venue. So when I was asked to photograph Vin and Toms wedding there, I jumped at the chance.
I absolutely love the parquet flooring at Wylam Brewery and the exposed brick work, it is right up my street.
The huge hall has a spectacular dome ceiling which is truly breath taking. ~Not forgetting the classical columns at the front of the building. Did I mention the lake? It really does have everything, and it is so close to the centre of Newcastle. Your guests don’t need to worry about how they are going to get home.
I first met Vin and Tom when she bought my house!
We instantly liked them and wanted them to have it! They are such a fun couple and their happiness is infectious. It was lovely going back to my old house for the bridal preparations. Especially seeing what they had done with the place. It looked great I wanted to move back in!
It was nice that I could place Vin’s dress against the front door. Which I am very proud to say that I designed it and had it custom made by a local glass artist. The dress looked great against the door with the light shining through. It is one of my favourite pictures from the wedding.
The fabulous Lisa Jones was there on hair and makeup,
I have worked with Lisa a few times now. I am always so pleased to see her, as I know there will be a lovely atmosphere and the hair and makeup will be exceptional. Well she pulled it off again, I mean just look at Vin, she is stunning!
We had a giggle in the kitchen as Vin’s bridesmaids made her laugh and they exchanged gifts. I absolutely loved their dresses. Vin went for a botanical print on a white background that looked great!
Meanwhile, Greta was photographing Tom and his groomsmen at the front of the building, you just can’t go wrong, the building is so beautiful.
Vin arrived in style at Wylam Brewery in a vintage car and was beaming as she entered the venue. Greta was able to capture Tom’s face as she walked down the aisle.
Hector arrived later on, the most distinguished guest. He may be their pet dog, but he really did shine. We had a nice stroll around the lake and Vin and Tom couldn’t stop laughing and chatting away. We captured some beautiful photographs. later on in the day we managed to nip out the back of the building to capture a quick portrait at sunset. The sky became very dramatic! We also found a brightly coloured container, the perfect backdrop.
It was the perfect wedding, I loved every minute of it. Congratulations Vin and Tom.
